Conclave Rules

Conclave

Conclave values respect and honour above all else. Respect for fellow guild members, as well as the community we are all a part of.

Cooperation and teamwork will ensure that all members of Conclave will achieve the end game content they seek while having fun at the same time.

Conclave's Rules

FIRST: Guild Representation and Pride

Remember that although it’s just a game, every character has a real person behind it. You represent the guild at all times when you in are game therefore members of Conclave are not to exploit, grief or participate in on other players. WoW forums or any other forum of media are not to be used to air differences with guildies or other players. If you have an issue with someone please come to an officer.

We will give only one warning about behaviour. After that we will remove offenders from the guild.

Pickup Groups

In the past, Conclave has found lots of new and great recruits because they were impressed with the way Conclavians acted in PUGs. Remember the above point about representing our guild at all times.
Be aware of the leaders loot rules. Remember if it’s a PUG our guild rules do not necessarily apply. If in doubt, ask.

SECOND: Raids

If you attend a raid in this guild here is what is expected:

a: Once invited, head to the raid location immediately.

b: Do not ask for summons. Replacement players will be summoned from the instance portal to the raid’s location. You may be summoned if the raid is close enough to the instance portal. But don’t expect it.

c: Get to raid location, and begin your preparations, IE; making water and food, brew potions, etc. This also includes stocking up on water/food from a mage and getting a health stone from a lock etc.

d: Keep the raid channel CLEAR for raid leader instructions.

e: LISTEN to the raid leader/designated leader. Do as instructed. Do not improvise, unless cleared by a raid leader.

f: You may suggest changes or ideas regarding to strategies. Please do so in the raid channel well before a fight it due to begin.

g: There are channels for each class. Please discuss individual class strategy in those channels and not the raid channel. Less public chatter is essential. The whole raid doesn’t want or need to hear strategies for mages or locks or whatever. Class channels are where you can offer/receive advice.

h: Last but not least. Do NOT join or start a raid knowing you only have a tiny amount of time to attend. If you think you have to study for exams, go to school or bed then let the leaders know. If it is then ok for you to attend for that short time then great. But be up front about it.

Do NOT sign up and then fail to attend. You will find you will eventually lose any credibility if you do this and may find yourself automatically left off invite lists.
Conclave also uses Master Loot on occasion to make sure that gear goes to the most appropriate class first.

THIRD: End Game Content

Our raids take a lot of planning and organisation. Conclave tries to do invites as fairly as possibly. If you have any concerns please read the forums to see if they have been addressed. Otherwise please let myself or an officer know of your concerns via pm or in game mail. Also feel free to send us a tell.
Information on the loot system is available in the Loot forum forum on this website..

FOURTH: Raid Times

For all times and scheduling, the official Guild Time is Server Time. Also called Game Time or GT.

________________________________________
FIFTH: Numbers and Alts

We will remove people from the guild if they haven’t logged on for 20 days or more. If players are new to the guild the /gremove might happen prior to 20 days of absence. If you know you are going to be absent please let an officer know and we wont /gremove.

Reasons such as playing alliance characters of other games are not valid reasons and we stand by our right to /gremove.

If you have an active main in the guild you can have alts in the guild. Innactive alts will be removed.

Alts who are asked to help the guild by attending a raid may be eligible for loot. This depends on other circumstances such need by main characters.

SIXTH: Selling to Guild

Your guildies are not your customers. We don’t charge to craft items or do enchants UNLESS the guildie is making the item just to sell. If you ask for transmutes and/or other crafting or mats, please be upfront about your reasons for wanting the item.

While guild members offer services for free they aren’t expected to supply mats.

We don’t charge for orbs if the item is for a guild member to equip/use. If its to make something for a guildie to sell then its only fair that a charge applies.

________________________________________
SEVENTH: Bank items

You must be an active member of the guild for a certain period of time before you can request items from the bank. Please don’t request bank items when you are planning to leave the guild. This doesn’t bode well for your reputation. Priority will go to regular raiders and to those who contribute.

EIGHT: /gquitting

From time to time people get upset with each other and may take the drastic action of /gquit. It is at the officers’ discretion whether or not you will be given another guild invite. No matter what the circumstances. It is preferable that people act like adults and talk to an officer about any problems they may have before gquitting.
________________________________________
NINTH: PVP

We are a PVE guild. Therefore PVE raids take precedence over PVP. PVP to your hearts content but if we need you for a raid then you are expected to attend.

TENTH: Website

A lot of time and effort has gone into this website. This is to ensure you have access to information required for Conclave raids as well other things such mods and gear etc.
Check the website BEFORE you ask questions in guildchat. Don’t be annoyed if people get angry with you for not knowing about new rules, policy, strats and other vital information.

Yes, this is only a game, but Blizzard played a dirty trick on us and made much of it reliant on group participation. It may seem like we have a lot of rules but they are essential for our community to run efficiently and successfully.
